In collaboration with Extension 77, formerly known as The Twelfth Window, working closely with creative directors Graham Johnson and Oliver Devaris, along with Zambrero founder, Sam Prince to develop, execute and roll out the Zambrero brand.
Involvement included creation of brand guidelines, copywriting, brand strategy, customer journey, photography art direction and finished art, environmental/signage design, menu design, stakeholder management, supplier management and continued support across the network.
The brief: Reimagine, redesign and relaunch the Zambrero Blondie and Brownie product range.
What: Packaging design and a national campaign for the relaunch of Zambrero White Choc Blondie and Chocolate Brownie.
Role: Lead creative for both packaging and national campaign. Including concept designs, pre and post production and to the roll out of all printed and digital marketing material to 180 restaurants across Australia.
The brief: Relaunch the IQ Range featuring the key ingredients unique to the range.
What: A national campaign launched across Australia and further implementation across international markets. Material included in-restaurant printed and digital mediums, out-of-home including bus shelters, bus backs and bus sides along with digital marketing (digital ads and pre-roll videos).
Role: Lead creative from concept to execution, post production and national roll out.
The brief: Create a brand that celebrates coffee and the glorious morning ritual that is breakfast.
What: Coco Mexico is a coffee brand launched across Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. The little adventurous sister of Zambrero.
Branding included a complete brand book, packaging design (coffee bags, coffee cups, breakfast boxes and takeaway bags), menu designs, signage, restaurant design, uniform designs, Kombi van design and production, coffee machine design, photography and social media content.
Role: Lead Creative.
The brief: Create a feature piece with the sole purpose to raise awareness of Zambrero’s Plate 4 Plate initiative in Zambrero restaurants using the line ‘Let’s eat to beat world hunger’.
What: A modular LED neon wall feature for all Zambrero restaurants.
Role: In collaboration with Ext.77 and the Zambrero Project team, I provided creative direction and documentation to support the production and roll out of the neon installation across new and existing restaurants.
Brief: Design and manage the production of all signage and feature installations for the Next Practice Sydney CBD Clinic. Pieces include feature type installation, blade signage, window decals, illuminated pod numbers, display screens, ceiling sky feature and bamboo feature.
What: A signage package designed to bring to life the notion that Next Practice is the future of healthcare. Elevating the Next Practice brand from a visual identity to a walk-thru experience.
Role: In collaboration with Next Practice founder, Sam Prince, and the Next Practice team, I provided creative input and direction across each design piece. Involvement would include concept design, project management and documentation.
The brief: To create a book highlighting key Arup projects in Sydney.
Involvement: Designer and photographer coupled with a copywriter.
Oatmeal Kids is a children’s fashion brand created by my wife and I. Each piece designed by Cat, then produced in Sydney using premium Australian linen.
Rekindling those memories of generations past, bringing back the charm of traditional childrenswear and giving those familiar details a modern quirk.
Involvement included brand creation, photography, textile design and website design.
No actual brief per se, however a little project intended to create an extra brand element for Next Practice.
What: Carrying on the theme of fingerprints, a typeface made using the prints of Next Practice team members. Intended to use across large format mediums i.e. feature spreads, billboards, bus shelters, A1 / A0 posters and large signage.
The brief: Create a wall feature that celebrates Zambrero tagline ‘Mexican with a Mission’.
What: A collection of illustrated spoons and forks placed together to form ‘Mexican with a Mission’.
The different forms and shapes of each utensil celebrates the broad spectrum of cultures, nationalities and their relationship to food.
Role: Lead creative.
At the end of 2019, new menus were launched across every Zambrero restaurant in Australia, with restaurants in New Zealand, Ireland and the US to follow.
In collaboration with key departments and stakeholders within the business, the new design incorporated a visual system based on sales data and customer feedback. The end result was a new menu design that improved customer experience, product awareness and restaurant sales.
The menu redesign included every menu format and variation in over 190 restaurants in Australia, including all in-restaurant digital menu screens (landscape and portrait), every drive-thru menu format (Coates systems), printed take away menus, large and small format printed menus and online menus.
Involvement included lead creative and finished artist.
Brief: Create a feature piece that can be used in all clinics and online that encompasses Next Practice’s aspirations.
What: A series of digital paintings created using the fingerprints of Next Practice team members. Celebrating and recognising Australian doctors who have changed, inspired and transformed the Australian medical sector – leaving an everlasting impression on the Australian Healthcare System for the better.
Role: Lead creative and artist.
The brief: Create a video that introduces and educates patients about Telehealth.
What: A short educational video about Telehealth. A service rolled out to all Next Practice clinics in response to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

A series of album covers created for a collection of mixes created by Sam Prince in collaboration with Ben Foley (DJ Jamin).
Each mix was themed or inspired by a famous entrepreneur, philanthropist, humanitarian or musician.
Brief: Create a series of collectable cards based on the Big 5 and Small 5.
The brief: Create a giant burrito bus.
What: A complete bus wrap aimed at increasing brand awareness across Sydney.
Role: Lead creative from concept to execution and post production.
The brief: Make art out of a bike rack.
What: A shortlisted bike rack design entered into the 2010 Sydney Design ‘Bike Rack as Art’ competition. The design features a single steel tube bent into a typographic form to showcase the name of the location while providing a secure and safe place to park a bicycle.
